How to find X% of a number? +
Formula: Result = (X ÷ 100) × Y. For example, 15% of 4500 = (15 ÷ 100) × 4500 = 675. Use the "X% of Y" tab above.
How to calculate percentage change? +
% Change = ((New Value − Old Value) ÷ Old Value) × 100. Positive = increase, negative = decrease. Use the "% change" tab above — enter the old value and new value.
How do I calculate a discount? +
For a 20% discount on ₹5000: Use the "Decrease by %" tab, enter ₹5000 as the amount and 20 as the %, result = ₹4000. Or use "X% of Y" to find the discount amount (20% of 5000 = 1000).
